Shrek (jc name Leggy Luke) is a big quiet guy looking for his next best friend. He came off the track sound in late 2013 after only 2 starts and had all of last year off. He's been lightly restarted this year and is ready to go in any direction with someone who has more time to devote to his training. He's a "kick" ride and can take a joke but due to his size and inexperience he is not suitable for beginners at this time. Would best be suited for an adult or older teen looking for something that will happily track around the lower levels.... (read more) He's also been out on the trails a couple times and while he's not a natural leader, he is not spooky and happy to follow a more experienced leader the first time and becomes more confident each time (the 2nd time he went out he led more than half the way). With more miles on him he would make a great husband/boy-friend horse! If you're looking for a horse that will greet you with a nicker and be the first one to the fence every time, Shrek is it! However, he does require a confident handler. He is a big horse and he knows it. Shrek can get pushy with a more timid handler and will take advantage of that. As long as he knows the rules and that they will be enforced he is wonderful to work around! Ties, bathes, loads, clips, and stands for the farrier. He is currently barefoot and sound. Lots of bone on this guy! Current on vaccinations, deworming, and coggins. I love this guy so it's really important to me that he lands in a great home. Asking $3500
