I have a 12 year old Appy/Warm blood cross gelding. He is a big gorgeous gray gelding with a nice stocky build and good confirmation. Previously always been an English horse and was a fully finished hunter jumper with some dressage training. I converted him to western for trails myself and he's done well with that also. I have also played a little on thr clover leaf pattern but then got pregnant and quit riding. He has been ridden by my 12 year old and they did excellent together since she is a good rider for her age but he is a bit spirited so I don't recommend him for beginners.... (read more) An intermediate rider is preferred or advanced beginner should be fine. He may test a beginner though but as long as you know your leads and are firm he rides perfect. No buck rear or kick. He is trained to ride in a bit bit I find he rides perfect for me with a really god woah in just a "little s" hackamore. His only known vice to me is that he can be an escape artist and will easily jump a low ranch fence. a tall fence with hotwire is highly recommended to get his respect. I now have electric horse wire placed high enough with a strong 50 mile charger properly grounded and it works perfect to keep him contained. He was also a bit of a challenge to load the first time when I got him. The previous owners said he had not been hauled in a couple os years but we did get him in and the next time I need to get him in a trailer to relocate myself he went in easily. I am only selling to a good home only due to no time from having a newborn baby but it makes me sad because he had been a really good horse to me and was my life before I had my baby. I want him to go ti someone that will love him just as much and have the time to put him back to work. Serious inquiries only. I don't have time for tire kickers.
