Smokey, a 15.1hh gelding with 60 days of professional training, started under saddle in 2007 using Ray Hunt natural horsemanship method. Top side shows multiple champions; bottom side is fox trotter/spotted saddle horse; registered with SSHBEA. Excellent ground manners. Round pens, stands for farrier, no vices. Is easy to catch, tie, load, bridle, mount from either side. Running walk, flat foot walk and fox trot; has floating canter, although we're focusing on setting his easy gaits first. Trail experience, will go off propety alone but will be happiest in group as he's still young and checks out new objects. Okay with traffic, dogs, ATVs, moving farm equipment. Has soft mouth, excellent conformation for trail/endurance, tough black hooves, sweet and honest nature, is a quick learner with lots of "try," and wants to please you. Negative Coggins, immunizations UTD, front shoes, dental/vet on 7-14-08. Ready for confident or intermediate rider to take him to the next level. $1400, VERY negotiable to the right home.
