Additional Comments:
I love my horse more than anything in the world... but he can't go to college with me for my first year. He can sit on the family farm in a pasture and do nothing until I come back, but I would much prefer that he were being ridden and getting attention. Cicero came off the track last August and has been an absolute dream ever since. He's very friendly, loves to snuggle, and is very polite. BIG movements, a complete joy to ride, lovely horse to learn dressage on. I've been training him for eventing this whole time, so he's got a lot of basic dressage down and jumps nicely. Clips, bathes, stands perfectly for farrier, excellent manners. Lots and lots of energy when you're riding, but never headstrong or out of control, but would require an experienced rider. He is currently stabled in Crystal Lake, IL (@ $350/month) but potential leaser could move him to a more desirable location, as long as I could visit there first. All I would ask is that you pay the board fee of wherever you wanted him placed, I'll take care of shoes and vet. Trailers very well, and has always acted extremely calm in new places. Potential leaser could use my saddles, bridle, boots, and whatever other tack you don't have. I just don't want this horse, with all his incredible potential to sit around and do nothing while I'm gone. He could teach any experienced young adult or adult rider a lot, and you would enjoy everything wonderful about this truly amazing horse. Very detailed lease agreement would be in order, and there is always my family farm that he can go back to if you were to change your mind about leasing him before I came back from school. I leave August 20, and if you're interested in Cicero, you would be more than welcome to come visit and ride him between now and the time I leave so as to get acquainted. Please email me at ekampwer@nmu.edu if you're interested. I have tons more photos as well.
