Watch Youth on Sassy, Indoor Arena Watch Sassy With First Time Rider
This price is bottom dollar period I will not take less for this quiet and good looking of a mare, if she doesn't sell before spring I will get her back riding regularly to take some weight off and help take out the lazy/poky attitude that she shows in the video and her price will go to reflect such work, this is a patient laid back mare that would love to go to an experienced and knowledgable home she will not be sold to a home that I do not feel is a good for her.... Let me start by saying that I do not believe in kid broke/Bomb proof/dead head or any other perfect horse. And I strongly feel that any beginner rider be they young or old should have proper safety equipment, an experienced supervisor and a "controlled setting" to learn in. The video attached to this ad shows a first time rider, this was the mares second ride this year as she has been off raising a baby. We did get on her briefly before putting the girl on just to make sure but as I feel this video shows this mare is much too fat (no she is not bred) and is dull. She has been trail ridden extensively by an adult and had a brief stint of cattle work. In my opinion she needs a tune up to get her back in the working mindset (so you don't have the walk a few steps and stop that the video shows), get a handle back, but for a child I would want a horse to be rather non responsive. This however is all a matter of opinion. This mare is an easy to handle, loads, leads, ties, good with other horses, good for the farrier and vet. She does have a cosmetic muscle tear on the rear aspect of the right hip, I welcome vet checks at the prospective buyers expense. She will sell with papers/coggins/health papers/a square bale of hay/and feed to transition with. No trades/leases/or low ball offers. Will hold until Christmas with half down non refundable.
Her 2014 filly is listed for sale as well. Will do a package deal
