Rosie is a 9 year old Brabant/Percheron cross. She was raised by the Amish and has a history of cart pulling, trail riding and farm work. I have had Rosie for 5 months, I am in a graduate program and do not have time to work with her. I purchased Rosie for trail riding and possibly cart pulling. I have worked extensively with Quarter horses, this is the first draft horse I have owned. I have taken Rosie on many trail rides, she does well and when she spooks she never takes off but stays in place.... (read more) I have not hooked Rosie up to a cart because she does better with other horses, both trail riding and I would imagine pulling a cart. Rosie has a nice disposition but really is calmer when other horses are with her. I have however seen her pull a cart before purchasing her, and she did well with it. I was told Rosie is also accustomed to farm work. I am interested in selling Rosie as she is not an independent enough a horse for what I want her for, but does really well on the trails with other horses. I think she would do well as a brood mare, or as a trail horse/cart pulling horses (if with other horses). She is up to date on coggins and vaccines. (Rosie, as seen in the pictures is lighter in the summer, and darkens in the winter.) Please call at 847-971-5390
