This is Colored Up Beauty, AKA Beauty. She is a registered Paint mare, stands 14.3hh and is 9 years old. Below is about her:
-I have always ridden western/trails with her. Normally she is ridden 1-3 hours a ride, 4/7 days of the week. She has not been ridden since 1/27 due to my surgery.
-You might be able to ride her english with a bit of work, or used as a brood mare (she has never been bred). She also has a lot of potential to be a gaming or show horse.... (read more)
-She is a quick and willing learner.
-She has been through 2 weeks of intense riding/training this past summer. She went through training to really assess her skill level.
-She has gone on camping trip with out a problem. She has also been on numerous poker runs.
-She rides out alone or in a group, I have ridden her front, back or middle on trail rides. She has ridden with both gaited and none gaited horses.
-She has been ridden bareback or with bareback pad.
-She has a smooth walk/trot/canter.
-I normally keep her barefoot.
-She has good ground manners.
-She is not neck reigned currently but in the spring we will continue working on her with this.
-She has no medical problems.
-Her only vise right now is that she is herd bound due to lack in work and that can cause her to rear about 1 foot off the ground at most. Her back feet never leaves the ground. She is not a bucker and has never flipped. Otherwise she has no other vises. No cribbing, weaving, kicking, biting, etc. The minor rear is not to get the rider off, she does it because she is extremely frustrated or unsure about something.
-She does respect the fence.
-She is an easy keeper.
-She is not a very "marish" horse.
-She stands good for the farrier and will pick up her feet with little to no fuss.
-She will stand still for fly spray, bathes, clips, shots and the application of medication (I put antibiotic ointment on minor scratches).
-She stands good while tied up.
-She has also been in a cross-tie without a problem.
-She doesn't have a problem around dogs, cats, cattle, goats, other horses, farm equipment, gun shots at a distance (hunting season), 4 wheelers, traffic, barrels/poles and tarps (she will walk on them).
-She will go over logs/bridges without a problem.
-She will go through water with a little nudge, she normally hesitates, but that is because she hasn't had to walk through water often.
-She does however have a scar on her nose from someone trying to load her when he shouldn't have ever touched a horse. She loads well even after the accident.
-She is also not face shy after the incident, I can brush her face or even put a towel on her head without her having a problem.
-She is up to date on coggins, shots and deworming.
-She is normally kept in pasture unless weather is to extreme (ie: -60 windchill).
-I may be able to drop the price a little for the right home.
-She is NOT A BEGINNER HORSE, she needs someone that is a confident intermediate or experienced rider. I feel like she is a little to much horse for a beginner mostly because she is not "bomb proof" she can be jumpy without a confident rider but will not bolt. I would consider her green broke. She is also not considered a beginner horse because she can test the rider.
*She is not pregnant, just a little chubby*
The reason I am selling her is due to medical problems with both my knee and wrist. Because of the knee issue I can no longer ride her in more than a walk. I want her to go to a loving home where someone can spend quality time riding her the way she should be. I am also selling her saddle which is pictured above. Information on saddle is below.
I may be willing to sell her for a little less to the right home. I want her to go to a good home only. Serious inquiries only! I can be reached at 612-325-4745 (call or text) or email me at email@example.com
-Had her teeth checked by vet, her teeth are great and she may not need floating for a long time. However, all horses should be checked once a year for their teeth.
-Had some chiropractic work done on her lower back and a couple ribs. She is feeling great right now.
I would also like to point out that beauty is a rescue horse, I do know a little on her past. I also have contact information on the rescue and the trainer that had worked with her for assessment.
Her saddle: $500 - price is firm
(saddle was purchased for $800 originally)
-Dark oiled Billy Cook trail/show saddle with the original conchos. Just had the stirrup straps replaced. Hand tooled leather. The age of the saddle is unknown and has a little wear round the edges, otherwise the saddle has been well cared for. 15 inch seat, 7 inch gullet. The tree is in great condition. Comes with a new girth strap and saddle stand.
