Flashy yet sweet black Tennessee Walker mare named Rumor. She is all glossy black with 3 white socks, and when she's out in the sun her mane and tail get fiery tips. She is 7 years old, and is broken to trails and any other kind of riding. She even served as a hunt seat show horse this past summer when we were short of horses, and did walk/trot classes for the first time with a 12 year old beginner rider and placed 3rd! She is super beginner safe, I have given my 31 yr old sister a lesson on her and she has never ridden before, Rumor didn't do anything at all to scare her.... (read more) She has also had a year of intensive Clint Anderson training and desensitizing with the friend that I bought her from, and is trained to drop her head and collect. Pleasant and smooth to ride on the trails, doesn't spook a lot and even when she does it's so smooth and little you don't move in the saddle. She is gaited, walk trots and canters, and I have even taken her over small jumps (just point and shoot, she does what you ask, even if she not the best at it!). She grooms, bathes, does feet with no problems. She is currently turned out with a gelding, another mare, and a miniature pony, she does tend to be dominant over the other mare. Her only vices are: paws in her stall when getting her food ready, will pull the barn down if you spray anything near her ears or head (pretty standard for most horses anyways), and she doesn't load as easily into our two-horse trailer, though she does load perfectly into a bigger trailer. I am selling her because I need to downsize because I just don't have time to ride two horses, and I've had my gelding longer and won't sell him. Otherwise I would keep her. She wants someone to be her best friend and is very affectionate. Price is pretty firm, She just got the depo provera shot since my gelding cannot keep up with 2 mares in heat all the time. Up to date on all shots and coggins. She has great feet, easy keeper with no shoes needed unless you are going to be riding on a lot of hard or rocky surfaces. First video is of me getting on her when I had not ridden her in over 3 months. Also is video on trail, this is first time I have put her on trailer and gone to strange trail with her, she did great, only trotted when I asked her to, http://youtu.be/c_OQbWAQX3k , Watch Rumor Trail-f9LWQQBtPUEbA .
