Chief has a wonderfully sweet personality. He loves loves his people. He is three with lots of personality. He has been started under saddle with about two dozen rides under his belt. He needs his work ethic developed though, he is lazy. He stands very quietly for vet, farrier, tacking, grooming, mounting, and such. He is UTD on shots and coggins. He is a very curious horse who walks up to new strange things to check them out. He trusts his people very much and is very willing to do anything asked of him. He was shown halter before I purchased, and with a refresher course would do well. He still remembers most of it. He participated in a research study at MSU where asked to stand blindfolded for three sets of 60 second intervals, couldn’t move even his feet (for a young one, 60 seconds is a long time!). He didn’t even bat an eye, everyone was amazed he was only three, he acted like an old pro! He needs someone willing to put time into him to continue his training. He has enough talent to do whatever is asked of him on the trails or in the show ring.
