Duchess is a lovely filly in every way. She has been handled daily since birth (foaled 5-2-2014). She leads, ties, and loads. She is good for the farrier and the vet. She adores getting attention from people. She has never met a stranger and promptly introduces herself to (and begs to be loved by) any human who enters her pasture. Duchess is brave and curious when introduced to new things. She is the smartest, calmest baby we have ever raised.... (read more) On several occasions, she has been haltered while laying down (yes, she is that calm). As part or her training, she has been led around using anything that is handy including hay twine, dog leashes, shoe strings, fly masks, and even a hooded jacket (complete with hood on her ears!). She has also been introduced to being led around while carrying a bareback pad, jacket, or anything else soft and light that is handy. She currently stands 13 hands and should mature slightly over 13 hands. She has wonderful bone and good conformation. She has amazing action for a pony her size, and could excel at almost any discipline. Her sire has a great personality and nice action, and her paternal grandsire, Small Acres Master Buckeye, was a lovely harness pony. Her dam, Talywern Sweet Annabelle, is a winning halter mare, terrific broodmare, good for riding, and a full sister to Champion Welsh Cob mare Talywern Legally Blonde. Duchess is registered with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America (a pedigree can be viewed at allbreedpedigree.com " enter "Banners Royal Duchess", her registered name; videos are available on youtube by searching her registered name). I have plenty of photos of her, and of her sire and dam. Thank you for your interest, I will be as prompt as possible in answering any questions you may have. Photo is from 07/19/17.
