10 year old bay, Thoroughbred gelding. Jasper is a 16 H, 1000+ lbs trail horse with a very gentle personality. Though very gentle and super sweet, he needs either a confident advanced beginner or an intermediate rider. He will ride both western and English, has great feet, clips, ties, loads, not super spooky, good around traffic, enjoys getting out (currently polishing him up on riding out alone, he has been mostly used in pairs and groups), eats any food you put in front of him and stands well for the farrier. He travels best in a slant load trailer. Jasper would be great for any advanced beginner or intermediate rider who just loves to ride the trails or who wants a project horse to train to do something more than trails. I absolutely LOVE this guy, but he needs to be ridden on a regular basis and I just don’t have the time. On the temperament scale of 1-10 (10 being “hot”), Jasper is about a 4.
