Additional Comments:
Indy is a girl's dream horse - he does it all. He is a prior country english pleasure national champion. He has a great english (almost Park) trot. He loves jumping and has competed up to 3 foot. He is crazy fast and wins at all of the local shows for pole bending and barrels. He is only 14.2 hands so can compete (and win) in both pony and horse divisions. He patterns like a pro and has won many equitation classes.

We purchased him four years ago as a show horse for our daughter who was competing in saddleseat equitation and country english pleasure at the national level with the Arabian Horse Association. Two years ago she decided she wanted to try a different discipline and worked with Indy to develop him to be a jumper. She also taught him lead changes and how to run poles and barrels. Sadly, she has outgrown him as she now wants to jump cross country over four foot and do eventing. She needs a larger horse with experience at that level.

He has competed at the national level as well as Hunter Jumper Association shows, local shows and 4H. He just finished fifth in versatility at the Hamilton County 4H Fair out of a class of 35 with riders ages 9-18. His rider is 12.

We have also taken him on the trails. He does not like water and has to be pushed hard to cross streams, but he will do it.

He has no health problems. Currently wears front shoes only (for jumping), but can probably go barefoot. He is an easy keeper, but does tend to lose weight when he moves from one barn to another. (We just give him some additional calorie supplements for a few months and he gains it back.) He is UTD on all shots and had teeth floated in April.

He gets along well with other horses. Is not dominant. He is currently stalled at night and outside with group of six other geldings during the day. He has been pastured 24/7. Loves it outside, but has not stall vices. He will lay down to sleep when very tired.

His one vice is that he spooks pretty easily and needs a confident ready to give him courage. He needs someone he can trust who will be patient and take control. He is not a beginner's horse, but would make a good first horse for an experience rider.

Our family is having difficulty parting with Indy as he is a great horse and well loved! But we board our horses and can't pay for an additional horse that won't be ridden. It is important that we find a good home for him with a family that will love him and a rider that wants to encourage and motivate him. He loves to run and compete!
