Additional Comments:
Nice Quarter-horse gelding with Topsail Whiz, King Fritz and Doc Bar in his pedigree. I bought him in Jan. for my young inexperienced grand kids. He was thin when we got him . I put him on premium hay and other supplements/vitamins for his skin and coat. I rode him and he was too much horse for them in the open. It might have been the hay/vitamins but I never put the grand kids on him. I needed more of a pull out every now and then type horse and I feel that he would do best being rode more than once a week. He might be OK in the arena/round pen with beginners but not in an open field unless he is being rode more. I'm a timid rider and can ride him fine.In fact, he would be the one I would choose to take to a new place. He gets along well with his pasture gelding and is a good horse. I really like him but don't have the time to ride him and my other two. I would consider leasing him if he stayed here. He does great with clipping(his bridle path and muzzle),baths, hoof trimming, worming and shots. Had his teeth done and sheath cleaning late winter/early spring. He is a nice boy that just needs someone to ride him. He is fat and out of shape right now due to now being rode much lately. Was told by the previous owner that their daughter did 4 H with him and they trail rode him. Was also told that he was used as a mounted shooting horse earlier in his life. He is barefoot now as we just ride here but I would put shoes on to go on trails. I have taken him on a couple trail rides and he was awesome! Doesn't rush downhill, really watches where he puts his feet, when others spook and wont go, he goes forward with no issues. We put shoes on recently though as he is sore on the gravel. He is a great trail horse.
