Finished 3d/4d Barrel Mare

Easy is an unregistered, 15.0hh flea-bit grey mare. She is approximately 14 years old. I have owned this mare for 4 years. She is a finished barrel horse. We qualified for NBHA World last year in the 4D. She now runs 3D times at the small shows and 4D times at the big shows. She also runs Polebending, Texas barrels, Arena Race/Speed Barrel and Stakes Race. She is a fabulous playday horse and won Grand Champion (and a buckle) at Equine Country in NC for their winter series 2004-2005. I run her in NBHA and local playdays. She has done one rodeo and placed 5th out of 12 riders. She is also a good trail horse. She very rarely spooks and when she does, it is a very subtle movement (where they plant all 4 feet simultaneously) and then she gets over it and moves on. She is current on Coggins, West Nile, Eastern/Western/Tetanus, Rhino/Flu, Rabies and was wormed 4/16/08. She wears shoes in the front because of the arenas here, but I have barrel raced her barefoot when we lived in NC, where the arenas are sand. Her feet are great and she is well behaved for the farrier. She loads like a champ, takes her shots well, and will stand for a bath. I do not clip my horses, so I have no clue if she clips or not. I have ridden her bareback and I have ridden her double. She will W/T/C with a single smooch or very slight leg pressure. She side passes and does rollbacks. She has a very light mouth and rides in a Jr. Cowhorse or a Sharon Camarillo Tender Touch Plus. She can be fiesty on occasion and I do not recommend her for a beginner rider, but she would make a fabulous 3D/4D horse for someone who wants a finished horse without paying $25K for one! She's a lefty and does not have any alley issues. She is very much in her element at barrel races. She's not a barrel hitter either, we hit one 2-3 times per year. She's very consistent! I do have her on Mare Magic and Finish Line Fluid Action HA (glucosamine supplement) which gives her great fluid movement, neither of which is required but seem to agree with her well. She is a very easy keeper, right now she gets 2/3 of a scoop of Strategy, when I work her really hard, she gets 1 full scoop but has never needed more than that. She does not rear, kick, bite or crib. She does, however, love to play keep away. She hates being caught. I currently have her in a small paddock rather than full run of the pasture because it became such a hassle to catch her. Other than that, she is a wonderful horse. I am upgrading and looking for a faster barrel horse, and of course need the money to buy a new one, or else I would not be selling her. Please email or call for more pictures or with any questions.
