Charger is a 15.3HH beautiful sooty buckskin. He was my Gymkhana horse for 2 years and became my 10/11 yr old daughters Gymkhana horse last year. She finished the season in first place and in fact placed first in all events at every Gymkhana last year besides a few. I rode him in adult non competitive class, our first year, and placed 2nd. He is a family horse that can be shared by all. My non horse husband rode him on a 4 hour trail ride west Bragg Creek. I am offering him up for sale as my daughter has hit a stage where she is not that interested in riding. And since she moved up from a pony to him, I went out and purchased another horse for myself and already had an up and coming 4 year old. He is too good to sit especially at the prime age of 12 yrs old. He is currently being ridden 3 days per week. He has been over jumps(although I wound not say he is schooled) 2 full seasons of gymkhana, Canada Day Blackie Parade, mountain rides in west Bragg Creek, horsemanship clinics, and he can count and shake his head yes and no. Great in the indoor/outdoor arena and can ride out alone. He loves attention and wants to be in your pocket. Every horse has a vice and his is he doesn't like strange AGGRESSIVE barking dogs that come running towards him. Now saying that he has never taken off on my daughter or myself usually takes a little hop left or right or a 180, but it is manageable as long as you are "riding". He loads, clips, excellent for the farrier, and an easy keeper. Knows his leads, side passes, roll backs etc Not afraid of cows. Possibly make a good roper or excellent ranch horse. Teeth done last year. Regular worming and farrier care. He is a great beginners lesson horse from round pen to arena and when ready to take him further he will take you to that next level. The video is my daughters 1st gymkhana barrel event of the 2013 season. He sat all winter and had maybe 10 rides prior to this. He is also our herd leader so he is the bossy type. I am asking 7500.00 OBO I have a round pen and indoor arena to try him out as well as a mile course around our ranch. Included is a personalized name plate, personalized bridle/halter rack, and a winter blanket, rain sheet, cooler and feed bucket. I also have personalized bags for the winter blanket and cooler. He needs a wide saddle and can offer a 16" and/or 14" saddle that my daughter has been using on him for sale as well. The adult saddle is a Don Rich 16" saddle that I paid 2700.00. The 14" barrel saddle I paid 1200.00. For 9,500 you can have it horse and all. Come try him out and let's make a package deal !
Will deliver the horse within 200 km radius of Calgary/High River/Okotoks
