Drift is a 15hh sooty buckskin quarter horse x Arabian gelding. We've used him for everything from eventing to reining, but haven't shown him. He's got smooth gaits and can even be ridden bareback with no bit. I've put every level of rider on him and he's done fine with them all. He has been barefoot since 2011 and hasn't been sick or lame in the time that I've owned him, though I don't know about before that. He's easy to handle, loads and trailers well, stands for the farrier, and gets along well with other horses. He loves water, and we've swam him a lot. He's got a great personality, and is ready to work any time you want him to. He goes English and western with ease, and never refuses a jump. He neck reins, plow reins, and moves off leg pressure. He is good to do small shows now, but needs to be finished off before you start moving up classes. Also would love just being a trail horse. We will be taking him on his first camping trip soon unless he gets bought before that.
Drift is probably one of the best horses I've owned. He's taught me a lot about riding and working with horses in various situations, and has always been forgiving of my mistakes and patient with me. I'm offering him for sale or trade in hopes that he can teach someone else like he's taught me, and that I can get another horse to learn from.
