Noble is a beautiful unraced thoroughbred gelding, 7 years old, 16.2 h with a small white star on his forehead and one white anklet. Noble is extremely well bred. His father was Harlan's Holiday who won the following Stakes Races: The Dubai World Cup, Hollywood Gold Cup Handicap, Florida Derby, Breeder's Futurity Stakes and many others.
The following is from his owner…
I purchased Noble from a sales barn for $1,500.00 when I was working there. When I first saw Noble he could hardly walk. The woman had four farriers try to work on his feet, but none of them could do a decent job. I felt so bad for the horse I called a friend of mine who is a farrier and asked him to come to the farm and look at the horse. My friend came and he said he thought he could fix his front feet. So I asked the woman I worked for is she would sell Noble to me and she did. Noble has no vices. One year ago he was shown locally over fences and on the flat. He pinned in both classes. Noble needs an experienced rider right now because he is out of shape and stiff on his circles. Once he gets going again in a regular program , he is very nice to ride. Noble should not be lunged in small circles due to an old ankle injury. He can be walked and trotted on the lunge in big circles and does great!
Noble is an easy keeper and loves to eat! I feed him sweet feed mixed with an all in one pellet twice a day. He gets about 1.5 quarts am. and pm. He is kind when turned out with others also!
Noble had an injury to his back right ankle when he was somewhere between a yearling and a two year old. I saw a picture of him from the farm he was bred and there was no indication of the injury yet on his back ankle. So sometime in between one and two when he started into training he must have injured himself. I had x-rays taken of his ankle and the vet said he should be okay. I will also be taking some new x-rays for a potential adopter to have. The injury was to Noble's growth plate. Noble would do well being in a place where he mostly has to be ridden on level ground. Noble can jump and do dressage and just about anything else. He just needs to be on good ground. He should not be turned out on frozen ground or slippery wet, muddy ground.
Noble is residing in Orlean, Va where he can be seen. Adoption fee $300. Please contact me for more info.
