Very Well Broke Gold Dappled Palomino

My husbands pride and joy. No where can you find a flashier , well broke, perfect sized trail horse. With AWESOME bloodlines. We bought him at 2 yrs old for alot of money not even handled. He is heavily Weiscamp bred so he has the cutting horse body. He is thick all the way around . Sticked at 15.1 1/3 hands, which is a hair over 15.1 hands. We started trail riding this horse at 3 years (so not started when bones were still fragile). He has been rode HARD from April to end of October for the last 6 years going on 7 this year. We have no trails at home. We go straight to the trailer and head out to the state parks. He has been to Sunrise, Almelund, St. Croix state forest, and state park, Pillager, Maplewood, Millacs Kathio, Sand Dunes, Chengwatanna, Forestville, Grantsburg, Jordan, Red Wing and Lake Louise. EVERY YEAR , every weekend, He crosses water, crosses creaky bridges, crosses anything you could ask for. No hesitation and will gladly lead. Or he will gladly follow. It does not matter to him. He is not skittish on trails. You could load this horse in a trailer blind folded , even a 2 horse he will do. We have even made him sleep in the trailer a couple times in the years cuz of the cold rain when camping. There is no terrain he has not been on that Minnesota consists of. He has been tied for up to 6 days and nights when we do long trips. He has had MANY different riders on him. If we have beginners or new people we will put them on him. You just can not ask for anything more of a trail horse. He has been used so hard for trails it is 2nd nature to him. We are trail riding die hards and camping goes with it. This has been my husbands horse for years. We have been the only owners except the people who bred him. His build is perfect, his color is perfect, his size is perfect, his riding is perfect. Did I mention he is a DARK DAPPLED PALOMINO ! We get constant compliments on him. He is not a speed horse, head level when riding but because of his cutting back ground he will get right up with just a kiss noise. And he does have go and can kick some butt, but not hyper in the least. You could probably easily train him for cows, but that is just not us. He never has to be lunged in the spring even though we dont ride from end of October till end of April every single year . He does not give a Spring buck after lack of riding. He rides out the same all the time. He is neck reined. Rides in a tom thumb. Even rode bareback a couple times. Stands pretty good while mounting, another person does not have to hold him. He ties without pulling. course he would have to with all the picket tiying he gets at the campgrounds. He has always been sound though if you ride him on hard rocks to long he will start to feel it like most horses. He is used to traffic, including big heavy horse trailers going by us at the parks. The only flaw I can find in this horse (and they all have it) is he is not thrilled about being caught in a big open pasture which is all we got. He is extremely food motivated though so it does not take us much to catch this horse at all. Just shake the bucket, he is screaming and running to you. He is top of the herd always so no one will get there before him. Just got a fresh trim and is good for the ferrier and worming.
