Rock is a beautiful Sorrel gelding with a flaxen mane/tail. He has been rode on many trails and in parades. Rock needs an intermedient/expert rider since he can be a little spunky.Used to be rode twice a week, now we haven't been on him in about 1 1/2 yrs. Since our baby was born. Just don't have the time for him like he needs. Will need to be worked out for a little while, but should bounce back to a great trail horse. Rock is a resuce horse. His former owner used to beat him. When we first got him you could not catch him, touch him without him jumping or trembling. You could not get him to put his head down, which made haltering and bridling him almost impossible ( I'm only 5'3") I have spent 3 1/2 years retraining him. He has come a VERY long way, but there are a few things he needs constant work on. Once
you get his trust, He will do almost anything for you. Someone with a lot of horse sense and a frim attatude will do great with Rock. (If your timid, show him your scared or don't know much about horses, then Rock will try to get away with things.) You have to be the alfa
herd leader for Rock to repect you. When Rock repects you, training (or really retraining) him is easy and fast. He is very smart and learns fast. He remebers what you
have taught him. Rock can be a handful at times, but he really is a great horse. I hope someone out there is willing to give him a chance. Rock has been wormed every 3 months. He needs his shots and he is barefoot right now since we are not riding him. ( If you want him shod before pick up please add $65 to his price and I will have my farrier out to shoe him) Coggins has run out, so he needs a new one. He has always been neg.
