Tilly is just fine...
After being out on a free lase for 2 yrs we were not sure what Tilly's mannerism would be like but we are most delighted to say that she is her sweet old self.
My daughter and granddaughter spent a couple of hours yesterday shedding Tilly out, combing her mane and tail, trimming her bridle path and checking her all over. After she was groomed they lead her around on the lead line to make sure her leg movement was still good, and it was.
Then my granddaughter sat on her bareback and rode around the front of the barnyard with her to make sure she would still accept a little rider. She just mozied along like always, which was a big relief. She gave no buck, rear, kick which I didn't expect but wanted to mention for readers sake.
Her feet were long when she was returned but the Farrier has been out to trim them and is due back in 2 weeks to do them again.
She is sound, could use a bath when the weather warms up, but is ready to have a home to call her own. If you are interested in her please feel free to call or email to set up a time to come and see her.
Tilly would fit in good in just about any situation. She would be excellent for teaching little riders good horsemanship, make a wonderful addition to any farm or program. She could do pony rides, lessons, companion for a horse lover that no longer rides or even company for another horse.
Tilly was formerly a Therapeutic Horse for disabled children and has made many trips to the Nursing Home for Comfort. She was always a lady on her visits, she understands what a person needs from her and that has always made her good for such things. She is registered so she could be entered into shows and fairs for 4-H or do town parades. You just couldn't go wrong choosing her for your newest addition.
