Strider is a handsome 16 year old, 16 hand, bay Appendix Quarter horse who is looking for someone to take him home, love him, and give him a job. I'm currently in college and have Strider and another horse and he's sadly not getting the attention that he needs anymore. Strider has been in our family for 11 years and I truly hate to see him have to go but he deserves more attention that I have time for anymore while trying to graduate college.
Strider has no vices. He does not crib or weave. He has impeccable ground manners. He loads, clips, bathes, stands for farrier, and for the vet.
He loves having a job and is well behaved in an outdoor or indoor arena environment. Strider has a ton of experience in multiple disciplines.
He has been in the hunter/jumper ring for numerous years along with exceling in several local dressage shows. Lately, I started riding him western and doing western pleasure and horsemanship at a few local shows.
He has no spook, but he is not very confident on trails alone but usually the company of a buddy eases his nerves and he'll go just fine. He's been trail ridden all over our property at home, down the road, and on numerous other trails.
I really hate to see him go but I want him to have the attention he deserves from a family like he used to get from mine. My preference is that he goes to an intermediate or experienced rider who can bring him back up to the top of his game!
Asking $2300 and all reasonable offers will be considered to a good home.
