Jets is a coming 5 year old, 15.3-16.0 hand, chestnut gelding who retired from racing in February of 2012. He came through After the Races in 2012 sound and without injury and was adopted as a pleasure horse and show prospect.
He did well in his new home but was recently returned in December of 2013 after his adopter could no longer afford him. She reports that he was doing really well on the flat in his reschooling, as well as over some small fences. He also competed in a couple paper chases and is reported to have behaved very well!
Unfortunately he also popped a splint just before coming back to ATR so he is currently enjoying some time off with another gelding, enjoying pasture time during the day, and being in at night. Our vet is sure he'll have a full recovery after taking a break from work, and to the right home he would be available now to someone willing to give him a bit of time off.
$2/mile one way.
