Dixie Chick is her name and boy does she fit it! She's 15 hands tall and 10 years old Tri paint mare. Dixie Chick is very calm cool and collect, easy to load and backs out of the trailer, baths, good with her feet, currently barefoot, stands still to get on and off, easy to saddle, neck reins, backs up, and has a nice stop, etc. I just can't say enough about her!Dixie Chick has been on many trails all over the Shawnee National forest in Southern IL, MO, TN, AR, and even TX. Crosses water like nothing, over logs, make trails, you name it she will do it. She's even been squirrel and deer hunted off of.Dixie Chick would make a great HOG HUNTING partner, been around cattle to where they were all over her, she's been roped off of, be good for ranch work for she neck reins like a quarter horse!! She would also be good for Field Trail events, trail competitions, there's no limit what she is capable of doing. She is NOT for a beginner, she likes to go.I have some video's to show you how she handles. Company / Facility: Rock'n A Ranch - We raise/train/buy/sell horses for a living. We start a young horse first with ground work and decentize them to be calm, safe and not spooky. And continue on with ground work all the way to breaking them to ride to a finished horse with no buck, rear, or bolt. For the horses that are broke we work with them on whatever issues they may have from decentizing to tune ups. Before we put them up for sale.
We have 50 acres that we use to ride and train: 4 horse walker, 120 ft circle arena with a 50 ft round pen inside it, also a 150 ft x 150 ft riding arena, a mile oval tilled track, threw a large tank, woods with obstacles, etc. Things that you would experiance on a trail ride. As well as ride them along hwys, over bridges, around cattle, dogs, noises, tractors, etc. If we can't ride them we don't sell them!! Unless otherwise noted as in "NOT Broke"!
