Five year old sorrel AQHA mare. Rey Jays Rosie "Dash" is green broke to ride and a dream to handle on the ground. She is small, only about 14.3, but built like a normal quarter horse. Stout, but wouldn't put very large riders on her. She is friendly, picks up all for feet with no issues, leads loads and ties. Good for the farrier. No problems saddling or bridling, she's not cinchy of wary of the saddle at all. Stands still when you get on, doesn't walk off on her own. She does get nervous and paw in the trailer, but doesn't panic. She rides good and knows the basics, but is still very green. Does not know how to lunge or neck rein. She is herdbound and doesn't like riding away from the herd, but she's getting better with it.
I bought her a couple months ago as a project, but I don't have the time I thought I would for her and haven't worked with her much at all. I have only ridden her a handful of times since I have had her, and she is the same whether I rode her a couple days ago or a couple weeks ago. Picks up new things easy and wants to please. I do have her papers and a signed transfer from her old owner, as well as a current coggins. Really nice mare for someone who has the time to work with her! She's a very easy keeper, she stays healthy on pasture and hay. I can deliver around the Austin area, possibly farther for some gas money.
