Copper is a 15 year old (born 1999) bay gelding that has been used as a roping horse his entire life. Started off working feed lots then moved to the roping pen at 4 years old. He can rope both sides, break away rope and calf rope but has mainly been used as a heel horse. He has won money at USTRC, KRA, rodeos and all types of jackpot ropings. He has won money in AL, MS, GA, TN, KY, IN, IL, OH & MR. He has been used as a junior and high school rodeo horse. He was used for breakaway, calf roping, team roping, ribbon roping, goat tying, poles and barrels. He was the only horse that had to be hauled for JR rodeo events. He is seasoned at large and indoor arena events. He is safe and dependable for children and tends to ride at the level they ask of him. He has been trail ridden and worked cattle in open pastures. He would make an excellent mount for a level 4 to 6 roper or very safe for someone learning to rope. He has been extensively hauled and travels well. He loads, bathes, clips, and shoes with no problem Only vice is he wants to be the dominate horse in the pasture but settles down once the pecking order is established with new horses.
