Was asking $3000...Traveler is 16.2 and was born in June, 2001. He was bred for racing and has raced a hand full of times. He is registered with JC and has a tattoo on his lip. (unfortunately, I do not have his papers) He was not fast enough so they sold him. The lady I got him from bought him at age 7 I believe... She did a lot of flat work training with him and some jumping, but mostly dressage. She never had the chance to show him though. He has been hauled all the way to Kansas and lived there for a period of time with his old owner.... (read more) Before I bought him, he was not being ridden for almost a year. When I got Traveler in October of 2011, I originally bought him for jumping and possibly eventing. I did a little bit of jumping on and off with him only because I did not want to get in any bad habits. I did take a few jumping lessons, but I can not afford to continue and get Traveler to his fullest potential. He LOVES to jump, prefers it over anything! I have free jumped him to 4ft and I have ridden him over about 2.5ft. I would love to see him go to someone who really knows thoroughbreds and how special they truly are. I know he will make someone so happy who has the experience to take him far. He is such a love to be around. Traveler always neighs at me when he sees me driving down the road to the barn. ALWAYS comes and greets me. He loves to be bathed, groomed, and loved on! I have not been able to do much trailering with him for I do not own a trailer... but once he is comfortable he will be a perfect gentleman. I have ridden him in the vineyards at the boarding facility and he is a little timid on his own, but with others is great. Just needs some more work there. I am including his turnout heavy duty blanket, his light turnout sheet, halter, and bit. I am asking $3000 obo. MOTIVATED SELLER!!! Would like him gone by February if possible The reason for selling him is I really miss the rodeo life and barrel races. I grew up doing that. I tried to make Traveler a barrel horse but he is not that kind of horse. MUCH better english! :) But I have ridden him western too. Might even make someone a nice pleasure horse! I have lots of pictures and some videos.
