Meet "Snuggie".. yes, named after the blanket with sleeves.
Registered Tennessee Walking mare, 15h, 22 years old. Skinny, old beanpole...or supermodel.
Endurance you say? I know for a fact she can pace for a week straight if stalled alone, out of sight of other horses. More than a week? I don't know, I'm afraid to try. It makes those 50 milers look wimpy.
She doesn't like to be stalled alone, but if you turn her out with others, she just stands in a corner and pouts. Can't ever make her happy.
Under saddle she's like riding a fence post with a giraffe neck. She's so skinny if you look at her straight on, she almost dissapears. (Don't worry, her ribs aren't showing)
She is so much fun to ride and so smooth, I think she's freaking awesome. She can really cover some ground, is gaited, but also can plod along with the slow mules. She parks out, neck reins, has a great whoa, and rides alone bravely. I really love riding her. She's legged up, surefooted and well fed.
She's got great feet, is easy to shoe and can go barefoot if not too rocky.
I've never seen her buck, bolt, bite, rear or kick.
She's way overpriced at $1200 for an old, skinny horse( even though she looks and acts young), but keeping her listed at this price keeps the weirdos away that shouldn't be owning a horse. I'm very negotiable to a good home but I like her too much to be giving her away.
