Pete is as close as you will ever get to the perfect horse. He loads, trailers, ties, stands in cross-ties, does not move for being tacked up, lowers his head and opens his mouth for the bit, stands rock solid for the farrier and the dentist, and doesnt mind his mane being pulled. He LOVES being in a stall and doesnt weave or pace or crib. He goes well both in the ring and is near fearless on the trail. You can work him consistently and he is more than happy to do his best to figure out what you are asking for, and if you are not able to get on him for a couple of weeks, he will be just as quiet and steady as the last time you were on him.He is forgiving of mistakes that the rider might make, and does not get fussy about someone getting in his face if need be and does not get offended when being told to do something. He has never once gotten strong or overly quick with me or anyone I have put on him.And he is FLASHY! Pete has four nearly perfectly symmetrical white socks, a big white blaze down his face, is roaned out through his entire coat, and has some of the cutest birdcatcher spots and even a couple Bend Or spots. We like to call Pete our horse of a different color! This boy is 100% sound and is currently going walk/trot/canter and is starting on lateral work. He has free-jumped, but due to a personal fear of jumping, Ive decided to leave the jump training to his next as to not risk messing him up. He is at least an 8 mover, and only has room for improvement.
