Misty is a 11 year old ~14 hand registered grey quarter mare; she has flea bitten spots as well as very light dapples along her hindquarters (most visible in the summer). This little mare has a great stocky build to her, especially when your able to put some miles on her pretty often. She's an extremely easy keeper, one of the easiest horses to keep fed I've ever owned. She is BROKE. This is the gentlest mare you'll ever meet. You can walk out in the field with her grazing, no halter or anything, & jump up on her & she'll just keep on grazing, not phased a bit â€" but usually if you walk out in the field she meets you halfway because she'd rather be with people then horses any day. She absolutely loves attention & to be cuddled on. Her only issue is she is lazy. Anyone that isn't afraid of riding & knows the basics of riding can ride this mare, she's very light on the mouth with smooth gaits, listens amazing, stands to mount & doesn't move till you tell her to. She stands to have her feet cleaned & worked on (never had her shoed, I keep my horses barefoot unless they need shoes but I doubt she'd have a problem with the farrier). She loads no problem, has always stood tied with no problem other than the occasional pawing when she gets bored or being left by all the other saddled up horses (she LOVES going on group rides & trails). Rides alone or in a group. Traffic safe. She has no buck, bite or kick. She's only spooked while riding twice since I've had her (going on 2 years now); once when she pretended to spook when I first purchased her on my first ride, seen it didn't scare me and she never tested me again & once a few months ago when we were riding past a soy bean field & my dog shot out of the beans out of no where right in front of the horses. All she did was side step a couple feet, snort & then carried on her merry way. She'd be a great starter horse for a confident rider ages 7 & up but I don't think I would start anyone younger than that on her because she can have some up & go in her occasionally.
ONLY SELLING BECAUSE I HAD TO MOVE & HAVE NO WHERE TO BOARD HER THAT I CAN CURRENTLY AFFORD.
