“Art I Bluetiful  is a 3 yr. old registered Appaloosa Mare. Brownie is Sired by Artfully Designed & her dam is Skys Brown Eyed Girl. She is measured at 16HH and is a solid. I do have her show permit for being a solid. Brownie is finished in Hunt Seat and has had training with Showmanship, but not finished in it. My intentions when I bought her was to be a Western Pleasure/Hunt Seat versatile horse, but Brownie is not going to make a Western Pleasure horse, her calling is Hunt Seat. She has had professional training since May 2012 by Alicia Carroll (Works for Mike Hatchell of Whitesboro, TX) and Andrew Performance Horses (Whitesboro, TX).
Brownie was taken to World in 2012 and shown by a youth in Hunter under Saddle in the 2 year old class and placed 8th in world. She has been ridden consistently since started. Brownie has a good mind on her. She's not high strung or temperamental. She's lazy and calm. I learned Hunt Seat on this horse. I have taken weekly lessons since I've owned her and she never gave me any grief. She has been very patient and forgiving of my flaws. I have put people on her, including my 12 yr. old step daughter and she has been very safe and trusting.
I currently do not have front shoes on her since we are letting her have the winter off other than riding her a couple times a week. She has gained a lot of weight (maturing) and filled out since this picture, but ideally looks about the same. I have her in with my Clydesdales and she does not have any trouble holding her own. I have bought another mare to do Western Pleasure with that's in training now. I would like to see Brownie go to good home that is into Hunt Seat. I think she would be ideal for a youth or someone starting out that needs a safe show horse.
I honestly have nothing bad to say about her and I'm not selling her in desperation. There are the two flaws I see within the market, HOWEVER, it will not change the price just because someone is looking for a deal or wants to find everything wrong, to get her cheaper. Her training and being a good horse is all the same. I've invested thousands into this mare by way of buying her, putting professional training in her for two years and showing. I'm willing to flex on some things, but not because of things we cannot change. I've had lots of folks contact me about her, sent videos, pictures, etc., only for them to tell me they don't like her flaws that I've clearly stated in the ad.
-She's short for the “ideal  hunt seat horse. Hunt Seat horses typically like close to 17HH horses. She's just not, won't ever be. She's measured with an actual stick and is 16HH. This doesn't change that she's a GOOD horse and perfectly showable.
-She's not versatile for Western Pleasure. Yes, that's why she's up for sale. I wanted a Western Pleasure horse and thought she could do both, but with the time in training, I quickly realized she's a hunt seater and that's OK, but not a discipline I want to do fully.
I welcome pre-purchase exams on her at buyers expense. I believe that we can arrange hauling within 1,000 miles or less for $850.00. If you would like to come out and ride her with the trainer present, that can be arranged as well. I'd also be willing to allow her to be hauled to you at your expense for 30 days & $500 cash to cover her medical paperwork for travel & insurance for a test trial. If you decide you like her, I'll send her paperwork to you certified once I'm paid in full by bank transfer. If you decide you don't like her, you send her back home at your expense by the 30th day. I'm willing to take payments on her for 3 months with $2500.00 down and she stays here until paid in full. I'm not interested in trades, breedings or leasing her.
My “bottom dollar  is $7,500.00 and that includes the transfer of her insurance policy, current shots, coggins, worming and her feet trimmed. If anything comes up in a pre-purchase exam that needs attention to, I'll cover that.
