Chocolate Chip is a 13 year old 14 hand Morgan Arabian gelding. We brought home Chip on trial where he got a vet check and was deemed unsound. We were going to return him to his owners but they told us that they moved and he would be sent to an auction if we returned him to his old barn. So we injected his hocks and stifles, found that he was sound to compete him novice eventing. He did really well competing novice and competed in pony club rallies, like dressage and showjumping.... (read more) We wanted to know what was wrong with him and took some x rays and found out that he had a chip in his knee.Through the grapevine we heard that he was once an Amish cart horse and got in an accident. He is now looking for a less competitive/companion home. He could do light work, prefers ring work to trails, he does do trails but has nervous energy when doing them. He doesn't buck or rear. UTD with all shots, farrier, and dentist work. If you injected his stifles and give him Previcox he could compete low level eventing again. He also does western and knows how to neck rein! He would really like to be a companion horse. He loves people and acts like a lap dog. He gets along with both mares and geldings. He also gets along with dogs, chickens ducks and donkeys. Easy keeper other then unsoundness in his back leg. He goes barefoot. He loves to be pet and is gorgeous! He would be a great candidate for natural horsemanship, parade or halter!
