Jack is the horse that is a lot of everything. Kid safe, husband safe, friend safe. In the last 7 years, he's taught upwards of 20 friends and kids to ride, he went from competitive roper before we had him to play day competitor and babysitter. He is a talented playday horse with beautiful moves through the poles and barrels. He spent a short season English jumping with my daughter and the trainers were surprised at his knowledge of where his feet were. Safe. He is at the perfect age to be a combination of pep and trustworthy. Easy keeper. He is generally top-dog in the herd. Can be ridden off from the herd with little fuss. Easy on the ground and great with the ferrier. Barefoot now but needs shoes or boots on the front if trail ridden. Healthy hooves, good teeth. He is a former roper, so he's not super light in the mouth, but that only makes him better with kids and novices. He doesn't get upset if a little one is leaning on his mouth. Will collect nicely under a skilled rider. Flat knee mover. High withered, holds onto a saddle nicely. Not a lovebug unless you have treats :), but patient and tolerant of little girls. Will get up and go under men and teen boys and will plod along all day under timid riders. Loads on his own in a slant, take off the lead and tap him on his backside. Will hesitate in a straight load, but was hauled extensively in one in his early years. MUST GO TO GOOD HOME!! He's a southern boy, so the north would be an adjustment, but he does grow a nice winter coat. No chew. Will get halter fat on a little alfalfa, but stays right on weight with 2 scoops of food and bermuda.
At buyers cost with seller approved shipper. Will haul up to 100 miles from Austin after paid purchase.
