April 2010 Chestnut Thoroughbred 16hands- father is Aragorn (Irish TB) mother is Kentucky bred thoroughbred. Great conformation and a great shoulder and neck on him! He's been started in natural horsemanship and desensitized. Great conformation and no lameness. I removed his shoes and allowed them to grow for a few months and he only has front shoes right now for walking over rocky footing. He stands, clips, loads, and rides alone in open fields. He never raced and no tattoo, therefore when I purchased him he was only green broke. He walks/trots in the arena on a loose rein and has just started canter work this week. He moves off leg. I've focused more on giving him a solid foundation outside of the arena to help build confidence and get him used to dogs, four wheelers/tractors, and walk/trot/canter and jumping x's in open fields without getting excited. He needs an experienced rider to develop the arena work- he's still very young. He has a gorgeous canter that his very rhythmic and slow. I could see him excelling in the hunter world, as a fox hunter, trail horse, or combined training. Pretty much a blank slate- just needs a trainer!
He gets along great with both mares and geldings and stands well for baths, farrier and grooming. He's extremely curious and likes to play with bags, jolly balls, and anything that makes noise! He's very brave and not spooky at all.
Due to travel for work I'm unable to provide him the training he needs and is the reason I'm selling.
I'm asking $2,000. Email for video and additional pictures. Price will increase with additional training and show experience.
