Poncho is a small horse with a lot of heart. I have been riding him at a 25000hd feedlot since last fall and he loves to work. He works gates nice and is wanting to work the cattle. You can tie him anywhere and he loads great.
Poncho has had rope work and has even roped a small steer and helped roll another. He will be no problem to take into a branding pen or rope calves, even small yearlings with.
Poncho has been exposed to many things, including: vehicles, large equipment, mud up to his knees, water and snow up to his belly, rain storms and snow storms and anything else a feedlot can throw at him. He takes everything in stride.
With very little training we took him to the Autumn Gold show in Saskatoon to show in western dressage. Even though we didnt place I was very happy with him. He had never been in an arena and did great anyways.
He had also been started over jumps and this little guy shows BIG promise. He was easily clearing 2'5" and will have no problem going higher.
