Darbee is a gorgeous gelding. He loves attention, always the first to the gate when called for. Darbee is a big boy! I have personally owed him since he was 7 months old. He is my horse, not the kids horse... He needs an experienced horseman when away from the farm. He gets nervous, but will calm down doing Parelli games. He is extremely responsive online. Darbee has a strong foundation and has been trained slowly..it was important to begin him correctly to build confidence and trust. He is ready for someone to finish anyway you see. I ride Darbee western, as he has a slow trot/jog and a natural headset. I ride him bareback much of the time, and use a rope halter & leadrope as a "bridle" He is light and responsive. He will stop, back & side pass. All the basics... He needs someone to take him to the next level & honestly, with my kids showing, Darbee gets put on the back burner much too often.
I'm only selling Darbee because I'm pregnant and have chosen not to ride throughout ,my pregnancy...I hate to see him sit out in the pasture when he enjoys having a job and loves attention! If your looking for your next horse to finish, come take a look at Darbee....he won't disappoint you. He is food oriented, so carrots do amazing work :)
Darbee stands well for farrier. Clip bridle path & legs with ease, but he hates his ears clipped (like most horses) He loves the water, whether in the water tank or in the river. He will dunk his head under and play. Darbee has such a playful horsanility. He will frisk u if he smells treats. He will play with the big green Parelli ball.
