Senator is a 12-year- old Trakehner gelding. He has competed in the hunter ring and also evented. In his earlier years, he was an A circuit children's hunter. He is happy to school at home or away with no preparation required.
He is a point-and-shoot horse, willing to jump anything. He has been jumped up to 3'6 without hesitation. On the cross country course, Senator willingly conquered every obstacle he encountered from drops into water, to jumping banks, stone walls and roll tops. Senator has all of the dressage basics and with a consistent training program would be able to excel.
This show season, Senator placed first in the high/low hunter hack division with a rider who had never shown in the hunter ring. He also placed consistently with a novice rider in the 2'6 hunter division.
Senator bathes, clips, trailers and stands for the vet/farrier without a fuss. He has no vices. He is a very easy keeper and has a wonderful, laid-back personality. He would be a great first horse for a competitive rider looking for a confident mount who is ready to enter the show ring.
