Conceived in Ireland at the Kennedy Equine Center, Just Foolin (aka Caper) is by the Dutch show jumper stallion Maltstriker and o/o the approved Irish mare Ballyard Katie.
Sire: Maltstriker won a European Gold medal (YR) in 1985 and an individual Silver. He competed until he was 20 years old and in that time had won over 30 Grand Prix Classes and later retired to stud fully sound! Maltstriker is by Abgar who was the foundation sire of modern Dutch breeding. Maltstriker's dam was Morganster who was one of the most influential mares imported from Germany into Holland. The eldest of Morgenster's graded sons, Senator by Paladijn, is the grandsire of Nimmerdor, regarded as the greatest of the modern Dutch stallions.
Apollo, Nick Skelton's famous show jumper, is also a descendant of Sinaeda. Morganster, Just Foolin's grandmother is by Marco Polo who has produced numerous competition horses around the world.
Maltstriker is also closely related to horses such as Pion, rated in the top 10 Dressage sires. Endevour, Marius sire to the great British Show Jumper of all time Milton who was ridden by John Whitaker.
Maltstriker has numerous successful offspring on the ground, including Kilcoltrim, ridden by event rider William Fox Pitt.
Like the famous stallion Cavalier, Maltstriker is a member of the reputable northern Netherlands Sina family. This excellent breeding family produced numerous national and international sport horses such as the international showjumpers Piccolino (Notaris) under René Tebbel, Cavalier (Maykel), Oleandra (Farn) under Peter Postelmans and Pierrot (Marco Polo) under Emile Hendrix.
Dam: Ballyard Katie is a premium RID mare, who has produced two approved stallions, upper level dressage stallion KEC Double Diamond, and FNF Flagmount's Leopold.
Just Foolin has produced 5 fantastic offspring to date. She is a pleasure to be around, and has been lightly started w/t/c under saddle. Would be willing to sell her with a breeding the Dutch stallion Amazing.
