Are you looking for a horse you would be proud to own?
This is a super nice gelding that has absolutely NO issues or vices of any kind. 100% sound, sane and healthy. I would absolutely recommend this horse to my best friend. Joe is a classy Buckskin gelding coming from one owner who raised and trained him and is a friend of mine since childhood. This horse has a first class pedigree and is super gentle for anyone to ride.
Joe was purchased for $25,000 as a yearling and has thousands of dollars of training invested in him.... (read more) It has been a hard decision for the owners to let this horse go, but Joe just isn't making the top caliber Team Roping horse that they need. Joe is finished as a head horse and well patterned on the barrels, but is super laid back and easy going. Joe would make a nice rope horse for a lower # roper; he scores great and is quiet in the box, runs to the hip and gives you a good shot everytime. Joe has had a solid year of professional team roping training on the head side, he but just doesn't have the fire and desire to go make a winning run at the open level. Joe has been hauled to arenas all over and has seen just about everything and stays gentle in all types of surroundings. Please watch Joe's video, it describes him better than words can. This horse is gentle but is easy to throttle up and perform if you want him to, while he would be perfectly happy just being someone's gorgeous trail horse. Joe only goes as fast as you ask... if you want to go slow, he will go slow all day long... you want to know if he can run and has speed? Yes, the kind of speed to make your eyes water. Take a look a Joe's pedigree. His sire earned $222,920 and his dam won the Lassie stakes. Her sire FIRST DOWN DASH is one of the all time leading race sires in the world, with offspring earning totals of more than 68 million dollars. With Joe's pedigree, he should be a hot horse, but he is absolutely laid back quiet and gentle. In fact, he would rather go slow than fast.
Absolutely anyone can ride Joe, he is GENTLE. Stays quiet and gentle even if he is not ridden often. Nice to ride and has a really smooth lope. Rides in just about any kind of bit or a hackamore; with or without a tie down. Take a look at Joe's video... the ball, flag, trap and cap gun were all filmed with NO prior desensitizing. This horse has a wonderful disposition and will do anything you ask him to. Joe is easy to catch, he will come to you out on the pasture. His ground manners are the very best; he is friendly but not in your space. He ties and does not pull back, stands quietly to bath, clip, for the farrier, to tack up and stands still to mount. He is not cinchy and has no buck. Stands at the hitching post quietly and patiently, does not paw. Stalls quiet by himself and rides out quiet by himself, never whinny's and acts foolish.
Joe is 100% sound, vet checks welcome. He does have a superficial scar in his left front leg that he acquired at age 2 but it does not bother him in anyway. I can send photos at your request. Joe has no issues or vices of any kind, just a super nice all around horse that is a pleasure to be around. You know the saying "There is no such thing as a perfect horse?" Joe has absolutely nothing about him that I dislike. NO holes, issues, vices etc. Just a big classy Buckskin gelding that turns heads everywhere you go. Joe Offered for your consideration at $15,000 price is FIRM, not interested in any trades.
*** Joe's owners had him collected before he was gelded. If you are interested in being in the breeding business without the hassle of owning a stallion, this is great opportunity. They have enough semen froze and stored at Arizona Equine to breed 200 mares. Buyers will sell the breedings for an additional $5000. If you are not interested in the breedings, a contract will be written upon sale so buyers can retain rights to the semen.
