"Holly" is a very nicely bred and put together young mare ready to start under saddle now. She is sized right for most, big hipped and quick on her feet but level headed with tons of potential and should be easy to get going as a pleasure or performance mount. She is a lovely red dun with nicely pronounced striping and barring and could be homozygous for dun but not tested. She was covered 3 times with my stud this summer and is an easy mare to cover live but for some reason did not settle and no time to spend on trips to the vet to figure things out due to the impact the Black Forest Fire had on the family.... (read more) If she doesn't sell I may work on that again next season as she should produce some nice foals. I was told she was ponied a lot through the Colorado Sand Dunes area and had a saddle and a youth rider on her at some point in an arena but no arena ground work or anything consistent. I did trailer her out with one of my other mares to a local park and just hand walked her around for exposure and as of this ad (Sept 3, 2013) she has had 2 arena groundwork lessons and did very well so is not being sold as a riding horse at this time and her price will change as I get more work done on her. She can sell with a breeding to my stud in 2014 for an additional $300 or as a package with the yearling sorrel Paint filly also listed on this site for $1500. Please call or email for additional information or to schedule a time to come see her in person. Her full pedigree can be seen at allbreedpedigree.com under JCF HOLLY GO LENA.
