Norma Jeanfour year old palomino mare, ~15.1. Was growing quickly and Ive been badly injured so I havent started riding her yet, but she is very easy to work with, calm, smart, sweet and gentle. I can call her in from the field to halter or just let her through the gate and shell go wherever I ask. Doesnt play games, honest, willing and amenable. This girl does not cause any trouble (has walked away from every potential confrontation Ive seen, doesnt pester anyone, play around in the water troughs or open gates, etc.... (read more)); understated, but exceptionally nice! Ive been working with her when the stallion broke loose and came charging at us; Norma kept her cool and took direction from me at all times while I was keeping him off. She is one of the most sensible young horses Ive had the pleasure of working with (and that is saying a lot!) and would be a superb beginners mount once she is a little seasoned. Norma is content to stay in the backgroundshe does not crowd me at the gate when I go in with a halter/bridlebut loves the attention when it is her turn. Not flashy/pizzazzyjust a quality lady inside and out.
