Flashy Blue Roan Tobiano colt with lots of hip by A Summer Breeze/Dixie War Drum sire with great cow horses in bloodlines. He is beautiful. Baby coat shedding out to a frosty blue roan. This colt is very athletic. He loves to play. He runs, bucks, bounces and jumps with power and enthusiasm.
Born 4/21/2013 APHA registration eligible. Expect to wean between 8/14 and 8/23 (best days per Farmers Almanac). If would like to keep on mare for up to 6 months of age, we can discuss additional arrangements.
Both parents on site at ranch.
Sire: Somer Drummer Boy "Woody" (16H Black and White Homozygous Tobiano Stallion by A Summer Breeze->Dixie War Drum) SOMER DRUMMER BOY exemplifies the best of the Dixie's War Drum line with plenty of the best foundation bloodlines. AQHA blood for performers that can halter. AQHA extended pedigree includes such greats as Golden Chief AQHA and Dexter AQHA (several times top and bottom), Poco Bueno AQHA, King AQHA, Go Man Go AQHA, Top Deck JC, Joe Reed AQHA, Ed Echols AQHA,War Glory AQHA, Oklahoma Star AQHA and more.
Dam: Eyed Adrifty Hancock (14H+ blue roan mare) by Ima Hancock Guy out of Mo Pepper. "Belle" parents were both 15H+ stout horses. Belle height in my opinion is not her genetic potential height. She had some extreme cicrumstances that stunted her growth.
The Sire passes on size. So far every foal out of "Woody" has matured taller than their dam. None of the mares have been over 15H so far. We have bred to several small mares from around 14H and foals have matured around 15H. We expect this foal to mature to a stocky 15H+.

Picture taken at almost 3 months in low light after rain, so a mess. When have time, will try again under better light and hopefully clean. :)
