This solid big bay gelding is a Teddy Bear. If you're looking for a sound trail horse or horse to finish out into something more specific (he LOVES to jump-like a dream) but also like a horse that has personality, trust, relationship and enjoys people, cookies, and being loved on, this is your boy. He is gentle and well-mannered. 5 years riding on him. Currently he is shod and I have just been riding him on and off several days each week depending on my work schedule. If he spooks, it's always justified and no more than a startle, always under control. No goofy taking off or being crazy. He does back roads, cars, loads in trailer, bows, neck reins, performs best using only a hackamore, ridden bareback, western or english. I have done a little trick riding with him in the past, i.e. mounting from behind at a run, standing on his back while riding, and hanging all over him in general and A LOT of this is done bareback as well. Swimming, etc. No buck, no bite, no kicking to date. As with his dam.
'Eclipse' is out of my steady & reliable mare I had to put down last fall at age 27 years. I raised him from a foal to do whatever I asked using just pressure & release=reward. His dam had excellent conformation for hunter/jumper, many random people offered to buy her off me for this purpose. His sire was a papered QH, raced and for the life of me I can't remember his registered info to look up bloodlines, but they had a nice Appendix QH background. I have photos of sire and dam upon request. Some video of me messing around with him. As well as an entire portfolio of him from newborn, to photo shoots, and tricks in action. Email for more. Thanks for looking.
