Drifter is an in-your-pocket kind of guy, gentle on the ground and loves to be groomed. He does well in the ring and has the potential to be anything from an English pleasure horse to a western game pony. Drifter has been on miles of trails and camping, but not in the last two years. He goes well in a group but gets worried if he's out in the woods by himself. Drifter is sensitive to pressure and is recommended for someone with soft hands and a confident seat. May be suitable for an advanced beginner, but not kids safe under saddle. Would be a suitable intermediate lesson horse.
Drifter is grade, his parents are unknown however he has all the characteristics of an appaloosa and can be hardship registered with the ApHC. The pictures are already taken and his paperwork filled out, just needs to be sent in.
If you're looking for a fun horse to play around with, he's your guy! Drifter is athletic and would make a great 25 miler endurance horse.
Has been schooled in some of Clinton Anderson's round penning exercises.
Never been lame or coliced. Up to date on vaccinations, coggins, teeth, and wears front shoes that are reset every 6-7 weeks. Stands for the ferrier and the vet.
Drifter rides primarily western and can neck rein, but has also been ridden English. He has never jumped but is at a great age to learn.
Will consider an off-farm free lease.
