Duchess is a lovely mare with loads of personality and charm. Well trained both English and Western (originally started as a reiner), she’s carried riders of all ages.
Back into training after some time off, she's excelling in her work as a hunter/jumper. The current owner has done little with her (hence her being for sale), she did well at the youth level in local shows with her previous owner.
she’s a fun ride; light in the bridle and honest, auto-lead changes, currently schooling a course of 3 with ease. She's consistent in her approach, and has a point-and-shoot work ethic (this girl LOVES to jump!), She'd be ideal for someone just learning to ride over fences. Has yet to even think about refusing a fence!
With her athleticism and training, this mare is the kind of horse you can trail ride on Friday, jump on Saturday, and do reining on Sunday. Perfect show-horse or 4-H/pony club partner. Schooling over fences up to 2’6 and will easily move up.
Current on all vet/farrier; clips, bathes, hauls, ties, etc, and she's always been sound for us.
