Purchased this mare just a few months ago as a summer project but recently there has been trouble in the family where it just isn't possible that we keep her anymore. She was bought very green broke. Has had a saddle on her back and a 10 year old riding her. She is very quiet and inquisitive and a good listener. She is very smart and picks up on things very easily. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body but she can be naughty and has been known to play the 'catch me if you can' game in the pasture.... (read more) We have been working on it and she is not nearly as bad anymore. She is partially blind in her right eye due to an injury she had when she was a yearling. She can still see out of it a little bit but we still have been working on lots of vocal cues to help with the learning process and she has picked it up very quickly. She gets along well with other horses and has been in pasture all her life. I have brought her in and stalled her for hours at a time and never had any problems with her in there. She is good with kids and doesn't take her long in a new place to get settled in. She trailers fine, stands for vet and farrier as well without any issues. She has never had any medical problems or been lame in her life to my knowledge besides the accident with her eye. She would be a very good kids show pony as she is so little and good with kids. Hoping to saddle her up and put more training on her and have her trail riding by the end of the month. She it started in showmanship and lungeline. Haven't ever had any problems with her other than her 'come catch me' game in the pasture which is slowly getting better. She has a lot of show potential. Price will increase as she get training put on her. Trained with Clinton Anderson's method.
UPDATE 7/5/2013 - Had a saddle on her today and she acted like she had been in one her whole life. No issues at all. Going to be getting on and riding tomorrow and will see how it goes.
