Granit is a very nice athletic 5 year old arabian gelding.
I have had him for 2 years now and started him under saddle very slowly.
Most of his training has been walking trails in the Colorado Rockies.
He is very laid back for an Arabian and was easy to start.
He has never bucked or reared or got his rider off any other way.
I think he has a very solid foundation now.
Granit would make a great endurance horse, he comes from a breeder who has bred a lot of winning endurance horses. His half brother just finished his 3rd 100 mile ride in 4th place.
He has clean legs, nice thick bones (8"canons) and a good heart rate.
Never had a lame day or any other soundness issues.
He is smart and willing. He crosses water with no problem and doesn't jump small streams but carefully walks across them.
He even crossed some streams with me that were frozen on the edges with the ice breaking under his feet as he walked across.
This is a nice all around horse for a serious rider - he is not suitable for a beginner just because of his typical arabian sensitivity.
