14.3H 7 yr old full Arabian gelding. (not registered, but could be - great-grandson of Aladdinn!!). VERY sturdy, very tough. 8" cannons, fantastic size 1-2 hooves, strong short back, low-set hocks. Ricky is extremely athletic with ability to do reining, jumping, endurance or dressage. Smooth transitions, balanced gaits, collected canter and direct movement. Ricky has been ridden on the trail and in the arena. He has most recently been ridden by a confident, intermediate 12 yr old girl. Ricky was an orphan foal and is REALLY affectionate. He loves attention and is always ready to go. He requires an experienced rider, especially when he hasn't been ridden in a long time (like in the spring). He does not buck, but gets prancy on the trail when you first start out. He is calm in the arena. Ricky notices everything on the trail and if he spooks, he hesitates or stops to look at it. He goes through water, crosses bridges and logs, and is good with dogs and traffic. Ricky loads, ties, and stands well for the farrier and vet. Ricky has a ton of potential for endurance or competitive trail...we haven't been able to tire him out yet. He has NEVER had the slightest bit of lameness and has never had any health issues. We offer full boarding and a beautiful location to trail ride. Our indoor arena is insulated and is a wonderful place to get out of inclement weather.
Our personal focus is on endurance riding. We love having the trails here to condition on. We also have shown in open shows in Western Pleasure, Hunt Seat, trail class, gaming, and we some experience in jumping and dressage. We welcome you to come and try the trails here!
