Sonja is a 10-12 Golden Palamino mare with looks to die for. She is somewhere between 14 and 15 hhs and is well muscled. She is slightly underweight as her foal was on her too long but she has gained weight steadily since I have had her. She looks to be a Quarter Horse, possibly with some appaloosa. She is quiet, even tempered and sweet. She is broke to ride according to her previous owner, but would need an Experience rider and more miles. She does have some issues with spooking.... (read more) She would make a great project for someone who knows what they are doing. Would make a beautiful brood mare and is a proven color producer. Her filly is sound in mind with a very sweet personality like her dam. Her filly is not on the premises but I can show pictures of her if needed. She is not overly mareish, no bite, no kick. Has bucked once before to my knowledge but that was mainly due to person riding her handling her roughly. That being said, she does not need the old cowboy method. Patience works best. I don't have the facilities to work with her and that is the main reason I am selling her. She is not a birthday present for the grandkids, she needs some who knows what they are doing and has the time to work with her. Current on her trim, has not been floated recently but doesn't seem to have any issues with her teeth, and is due for her spring shots. Do not have a current coggins. Any interested buyers will need to be able to either trailer themselves or arrange for some one else to do so.
