She is byour Thoroughbred stallion Painting Freedom and out of the Hanoverian mare Mystic.Mystic's sire, the Elite Hanoverian Stallion Mister A, was a member of the famousHanoverian Chestnut Quadrille in Germany, and was a successful grand prix dressagehorse. Mister A is a son of the French Anglo-Arab stallion Matcho, who, after hewas bought by the State Stud, won his performance test against Hanoverian stallions.Mystic's dam, Wanda, was the Grand Champion Hanoverian at the 1998 Spruce MeadowsHanoverian Mare Show at the age of eighteen. Wanda's foals include 1 who preparedfor the US Olympic dressage team, 3 who were Canadian National Dressage Champions,and 1 who was a champion hunter. Wanda's sire, Werther, was honored as Hanoverianstallion of the year in 1992, the first stallion to receive this recognition, andwas one of the most important sires of the modern Hanoverian breed.
