Rivers Legacy is a 7 year old thoroughbred who retired sound from racing in October of 2012. He was restarted under saddle in January, and is a very low key guy. I can ride him bareback in a halter and canter, jump, and ride him in a field, and he stays calm and comes right back to me. In tack he'll wtc both ways on the buckle, and has yet to meet a fence he doesn't like :) He'll go over walls, boxes, and gates just fine, and has a nice BIG canter stride down a line without ever getting heavy or fast.... (read more) He easily makes the strides, and is very adjustable (he doesn't suck back or rush at fences - he just meets them where you put him). He'd be great for any level rider - a lower level rider could take him to a local show now and do fine with him, or a more advanced rider could finish him how they want him. I think he'd like to be a hunter, an eventer, or a lesson horse.
